Supporting AuDHD Children at School & Home

An online learning series: 9 – 10 October 2026

Watch live and/or stream recordings of all webinars for 30 days

Join us for a thought provoking two day webinar exploring the topic of co-occurring autism and ADHD, commonly known as AuDHD, in children and young people.

Our hand picked team of leading professionals, including the internationally renowned Dr Tony Lloyd FRSA, will explain why it is so important to identify when both conditions are present, and the subtle shift of approach and understanding which is needed as a consequence. They’ll provide invaluable insights, and arm you with the specialist knowledge and practical strategies to successfully support an AuDHD child in a school or home setting.

Learnings include:

      • The challenges of recognising and diagnosing AuDHD
      • Mapping the hidden demands of a typical school day for AuDHD learners
      • Building support plans around capacity, load and recovery rather than fixed expectations
      • Exploring why task initiation can be difficult even when pupils understand the work
      • Spotting masked distress in chatty, funny, sociable or high-achieving pupils
      • Creating flexible structure through anchors, choices and planned novelty
      • Developing everyday routines that meet stimulation needs without creating chaos
      • Understanding racing thoughts, sensory discomfort, delayed sleep rhythms and bedtime transitions

Book the two day series now for just £59.99 for parents and family carers, and £89.99 for professionals. Content is CPD certified. Choose to watch live and/or stream the webinar recordings over 30 days. Price includes downloadable presentation slides when available.

Dr Judy Eaton is a Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions in both children and adults. She is also Research Associate at Kings College, London and has recently published three peer reviewed papers looking specifically at the Pathological Demand Avoidance profile in children.

Judy currently works independently and manages a large team of clinicians, including Clinical and Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language, and Occupational Therapists. Judy and her team are regularly commissioned by NHS commissioners to carry out assessments on highly complex young people.

Prior to setting up her own independent practice, Judy worked as the lead clinician for a NHS CAMHS team, helping to set up one of the first truly multi-disciplinary autism diagnostic teams. Subsequently she worked in secure in-patient services within both adult and Child and Adolescent Mental Health services.

Whilst working in in-patient services, Judy became aware of the number of young people in crisis, many of whom were girls and young women, most of whom were undiagnosed. She subsequently wrote a book entitled “A Guide to Mental Health Issues in Girls and Young Women on the Autism Spectrum: Diagnosis, Intervention and Family Support” which was published by Jessica Kingsley Publications.

More recently, Judy has become increasingly interested in the PDA profile and, despite the controversies surrounding it, remains convinced that PDA is “something”. She enjoys the challenge of working with other clinicians, parents and individuals who identify with this profile, and those involved in research, to try and better understand what this “something” is.

Lynn McCann is an independent specialist autism, ADHD and PDA teacher and consultant, owner of Reachout ASC and author of five books for teachers: “All About Autism – Primary”, “All About Autism – Secondary” (pub Routledge), “How to Support Pupils with ASC in Primary School”, “How to Support Students with ASC in Secondary School”, and “Stories that Explain (a Book of Social Stories)” (pub by LDA).

Reachout ASC are a team of seven highly experienced specialist teachers, who visit schools and other organisations to provide training, support, advice and resources. They are based in the North West of England and cover Lancashire, Manchester and Merseyside. They firmly believe that every autistic person is unique and their approach is to get to know each individual so that what they advise is right for them. They work with pupils from EYS through KS1-4 and in further education. They are a centre of excellence for autism, ADHD, PDA and autism in girls.

Ruth Kiley, a Sensory Integration Practitioner and Occupational Therapist, works with Lynn and her team to carry out sensory assessments and provide sensory programmes and support.

Kelly Jarvis has a real passion for working with children with SEN.

Her interest in SEN and associated complexities inspired her to join the Cambian Group where she was head of a highly specialist residential school for autistic children. This allowed Kelly to gain valuable experience in fulfilling EHCPs in order to ensure the best possible outcome. In addition, she has experience creating and designing innovative SEN specialist curriculums that are tailored to the individual and their needs.

Highly accomplished and motivated, Kelly has experience training school leaders and advocates in representing their educational establishments at SENDIST tribunals.

Kelly has been powerfully advocating for families at Sunshine since 2021, and her impact is far reaching; the success she has seen is absolutely incredible.

Lucy formed the Berkshire Child Anxiety Clinic, a joint collaboration between the University of Reading and the local NHS trust. She has been involved in the development of a number of treatment programmes and in the running of several treatment trials for children with anxiety problems, and was a Visiting Fellow within the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences at the University of Reading.

Lucy now works solely in private practice and also provides clinical psychology input to several local independent schools. Her particular expertise is in assessing ADHD and autism and offers both ADHD and autism assessments with her colleagues, Emma Wyatt and Teba Pozo Recio, as part of her multidisciplinary assessment team.

Dr Annie Clements has over 40 years’ experience in working with both young people, families and neurodivergence.

Annie has vast experience of feeding into local and national policy and strategy and supporting research across several universities. She sat on forums within local government for 20 years feeding into national platforms in relation to instigating change for the ND community.

Annie created the social enterprise Autism & ADHD when she became a fellow of The School for Social Entrepreneurs. Autism & ADHD proved to be ground breaking in the way it developed support with her approach being replicated by other organisations, due to the positive benefits and outcomes of working in this way. Her staff team, as well as being highly trained professionals, are all neurodivergent.

Annie lectures at universities both locally and internationally, was recognised for the passion she has for purpose driven business and was one of 25 CEO’s globally to be interviewed as part of a drive to involve corporate sector in following the ethos of Purpose in Practice. This led to her being invited to be a Fellow of the RSA. It is estimated that her direct work with families has impacted on close to 10,000 families but taking into account the professionals and business’ she has trained, this figure is much higher and this will continue to grow as the organisation reaches more communities globally. All that said, the most important thing to Annie is her family, who themselves are all ND, and are the driving force behind everything she does.

Tigger Pritchard is awesomely neurodivergent having a diagnosis of autism and ADHD. He is an autistic and pathological demand avoidance (PDA) advocate, consultant and trainer based in Cornwall.

Tigger has over thirty five years of professional and personal experience of working alongside, learning from and advocating for neurodivergent individuals. Tigger has done this in many different ways: support worker, advocate, teacher, facilitator, trainer, manager, lecturer and friend.
